Power is the ability or capacity to do something in a particular way that gains or obtains control, authority, or influence of others. 

 

Personal training is not about having and exercising power, but rather, transferring  power through the sharing of knowledge. I encourage my clients to obtain an understanding of what fitness, health and wellness looks like from the scope of  their own perspective, body and capabilities. 

          Hello, my name is Savannah. To be perfectly frank, I am not much of an "about me" kind of gal; however, since you are here, I imagine you're likely wanting to learn a little about me. So, without further ado - I am a woman of God, wife, homeschooling mother of 5, photographer, volunteer, and a certified personal trainer and nutritionist through the International Sports Sciences Association; eagerly adding to, and expanding my knowledge in the arena of health, fitness, and wellness.  I serve an incredible God and have an amazing family who supports my ambition and zest for adventure. I lam a lover of the outdoors, photography, rain, moon, sunshine, snow, sledding, and good old fashioned hard work. I am a very positive, uplifting, passionate person and spend much of my time focused on generating and encouraging positive change and personal growth, not only in myself, but within the people I am blessed enough to encounter. I am very focused, driven and have an immense amount of positive energy to share with you; often in the form of communication. Don't worry - since I am a firm believer in being aware of my strengths, as well as my weaknesses, for your sake, I use an hourglass so that I do not take up all of your time befriending you while we work together.

 

          Fitness and health have been a passion of mine my entire life. From participating in organized sports ranging from Varisty cheerleading to basketball throughout school, to actively maintaining my physique through a variety of forms of exercises, strength training, nutrition and running. I also understand and appreciate the impact that a good personal trainer can have and I have worked with personal trainers myself. Accountability, motivation and knowledge are a few of the many valuable assets a trainer provides and it is never a negative to have someone keeping your steps aligned. Even I need that from time to time. I give credit to many of my trainers for the success I have had in achieving and maintaining my own fitness goals which have been a strong contributing factor in accomplishing my goals in the world of pageantry. I have several years of experience in multiple Mrs. pageant systems. As Mrs. Minnesota US Universal 2016, I had the honor of winning "People's Choice" and being crowned Mrs. North America US Universal 2016. I have been an avid runner for as long as I can remember. However, my enjoyment of running is far more than that. For me, running is the time I carve out each day to focus on myself. Running is my safe-haven, my time for unloading stress, my relishing of music time, my time for reflection - and, my prayer time. As a wife and mom, I know the challenges women face when it comes to balancing careers, family, and the array of responsibilities we face - while not losing herself physically and emotionally, in the process. It is very easy to place yourself on the back-burner attempting to meet the needs and demands of your day-to-day life and everyone else. I am still aiming for my own personal goals on a regular basis. We are all a constant work in progress.

 

          I am incredibly passionate about helping my clients meet their goals and there is nothing more valuable or rewarding to me than helping others experience growth that contributes to their confidence, health, happiness, well-being, and strength. My goal as your personal trainer is to guide you to becoming more aware of and celebrating the strength and power you possess, as you learn new and exciting ways to incorporate health, wellness, and nutrition into your routine. I realize the impact that diminished fitness can have on your self-esteem, energy levels, and health, and how that may affect your day-to-day life. I want to be there for you to nourish your growth. Our work together will allow you to discover your strengths, overcome your self-imposed limitations, create new personal motivations, bring out your inner beauty, harness your passions and examine your overall physical and emotional health. I aim to share knowledge that will encourage you to pursue the benefits and joys of a fitness and nutrition related lifestyle while focusing on celebrating and appreciating yourself for the brilliant, adaptive, strong, capable, beautiful woman that you are.

 

It is my belief that an informed client is an empowered client, and an EmpowHERed client is a successful client!
